Roger Holzberg notes, “Teaching Healthcare by Design at CalArts in the School of Theater’s  Experience Design Program has given me the opportunity to work with amazing multidisciplinary students on projects that deliver healthcare solutions nationwide. Led by Lauren Gonzales (Dance 21) and Natalie Ferguson (Theater 21), we are currently launching an “immersive healing” project for palliative care patients at the Miami Cancer Institute. Led by Sedona Cruz (Film/Video 23), the fall class launched an AR adventure game that helps pediatric patients at Boys Town Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska become ambulatory after surgery and accelerate their discharge.”
