Byron Tomingas (Music MFA 71) composed the soundtrack for Headwaters, a documentary by Charles Craighead. His other recent work includes original compositions and videos such as Jenny Leigh (about the Shoshone girl behind a famous lake), Hammer Heart (from Headwaters), Mist in the Mountains, and Costa Rica Coco, collaborative improvisations with Talia Atkins, music for the AWD Hybrid Sienna Off Road CAMPER Van REPORT 2024.

Tomingas has also created new guitar transcriptions and arrangements of Chopin’s Lady Rothschild’s Waltz in E, Offenbach’s Jacqueline’s Tears in C minor, Shostakovich’s Russian Romance transcription, and Boccherini’s Fandango with Flamenco stylings with dropped D tuning, Stairway at the Center for the Arts,  Indian Love Call solo guitar arrangement, and Ain’t She Sweet & In the Mood.

Byron has remained prolific and engaged in a wide variety of musical projects.
