Lauri Gaffin (Art MFA 77) is a set decorator, artist, and photographer with extensive experience in the film industry. Her photography has appeared in numerous Hollywood films, including Fargo, The Pursuit of Happyness, Six Days Seven Nights, Charlie’s Angels, Iron Man, Thor, and Captain Marvel. In 2025, Damiani Books published her photobook and memoir, Moving Still, with a foreword by Britt Salvesen, Curator and Head of Photography and Prints and Drawings at LACMA. The book launched at Arcana: Books on the Arts in Culver City and Damiani Books at Paris Photo, with a corresponding exhibition at Galerie XII, Santa Monica. It received coverage in the Los Angeles Times, The Guardian, Rolling Stone, and others.

Gaffin’s summer exhibition UNSCRIPTED is currently showing at Michael’s restaurant in Santa Monica. Her work is in the permanent collection of LACMA and numerous private collections.
