Ilaan Egeland Mazzini (Dance BFA 89), a CalArts alum and Director of Programs and Activations at BroadStage, has spent the last three years building and overseeing the transformative Artist Residency with Stanley Clarke. This initiative, which has mentored over 100 students from Santa Monica College and Santa Monica High School, culminates this season with high-profile performances at the inaugural Santa Monica International Jazz Festival, May 1–9, 2026.
