Two features scored by Kubilay Uner (Music MFA 92) premiered last year: In the Mouth, a surreal horror-comedy-drama, premiered at the inaugural LA edition of Slamdance in February 2025, and will be released later this spring. A Mother’s Love, a supernatural thriller, premiered at the Austin Film Festival in October 2025, and is also expected to be released in 2026.

And, for the third time in the past four years, the Music Composition for the Screen MFA program that Uner directs at Columbia College Chicago was once again voted the world’s best program of its kind in an industry poll conducted by The Hollywood Reporter, as published in November of 2025.

Right now, Uner is starting work on the music for two more narrative features and enjoying life in Chicago.
