Robin Sukhadia (Music MFA 2008) was appointed Director of Development at the USC Thornton School of Music in September. In this role, Sukhadia partners with Dean Jason King and Thornton’s faculty, students, alumni and supporters to advance the school’s key priorities, including expanding access through scholarships, strengthening facilities and learning environments and building long-term philanthropic support for faculty, programs and artistic innovation.

Sukhadia’s creative and professional values were deeply shaped by his time at CalArts. He brings an interdisciplinary ethos into his work at USC, alongside a lifelong commitment to music as a tabla artist, educator, and arts advocate. He looks forward to helping grow resources that support musicians and creators across genres and disciplines, while remaining actively connected to the CalArts alumni community.
