Lisa Rose (Film/Video MFA 09) debuted her new mixed media show, Characters in Need of a Story, on Oct. 25 at the Albany Community Center Foyer Gallery in Albany, California.

“I give the viewer characters; the viewer creates stories,” Rose said in the program notes. “My interest lies in the dialogue between image and imagination—where characters, relationships, and narratives emerge. My practice is rooted in drawing and printmaking, combining analog and digital methods, informed by my years working in both the commercial and fine art world.”

The exhibit, which spans 20 years of Rose’s work, runs through Jan. 15, 2026.
