Peter Hager (Music MFA 25)’s comic opera Marathon plays for two nights — Oct. 17 and 18 — at the Highways Performance Space in Santa Monica. Also on the program is the performance piece Sending // Receiving, that features the talents of CalArts alumni Nelle Anderson (Music MFA 24), Jaz Jendersee (VoiceArts BFA 24), Mikaela Elson (VoiceArts MFA 23), Menghe Jing (VoiceArts MFA2), Elliot Menard (Music MFA1), and Music faculty Abigail Whitman; with an ensemble comprised of CalArtians Margot Harms (Music MFA1), Mason Moy (Performer/Composer MFA 23), Marc Perez (Performer/Composer MFA 24), Brody Scott (MFA 25), as well as current MFA students Joe Hayes and Kenny Kriha, and Performer/Composer faculty Primoz Sukic.
