Javier Fuentes-León’s third feature film Las Mejores Familias (The Best Families), an upstairs/downstairs satire about privilege and prejudice, is now available in the U.S. and Canada on HBO and HBO Max, and in all of Latin America on Amazon Prime. His latest writing/directing effort—the miniseries Contigo Capitán—drops worldwide on Netflix this fall. Also, his indie rock band, Left Avenue Joiners (an anagram of his name), aka L.A. JOI, will release their first album, Altivo Way, this year on Spotify and all the other music platforms. The first singles, “Close Your Eyes and Run” and “Awful” were released in July.
