In 2021, Fahad became the artistic director of the newly formed Resonance Collective (ResonanceCollective.org), an organization dedicated to exploring the intersection between artistic and spiritual practice. Its core program, the Golden Thread Concert Series, will begin presenting a monthly concert experience revolving around various perspectives on what constitutes sacred music. The Resonance Collective summer program, the N.E.O. Voice Festival, which is directed in conjunction with conductor David Harris and Soprano Laurel Irene, will have its fourth annual iteration in June. After a two-year development period with longtime collaborator André Megerdichian (Dance MFA 09) and poet/playwright Sholeh Wolpé, Fahad’s new movement-driven theatrical oratorio Conference of the Birds will premiere on March 27 at Scripps College and on June 18-19 at the Broad Stage in Santa Monica. He is excitedly expecting the birth of his first child on Dec. 15, 2021.
