John Mabry (Art 75) shares, “COVID-19 took my mother’s life on February 12, 2020. She complained about losing ‘her taste’ and sudden inability to walk. She was 93 years old, two weeks short of 94 years of age, born in Northern France at Pargny-Sur-Saulx and later migrated to America—shortly after the end of WWII. During the occupation, she was a very brave and courageous young woman who finally found her calling in make-up artistry, working for Max Factor in Hollywood and later employed with the Westmore brothers in the movie studios. Colette Isabelle Marie Royer was a stunningly beautiful French woman with a wit that was a gift to all during her life. She is deeply missed, and her love will never be forgotten by her two surviving children, John and Claudette.”
