Valerie Swanson (Film/Video BFA 85) checks in, “After graduating from Film Graphics I remained in Santa Clarita and have called it home to this day. Last year, I was one of nine winners of SCV’s first Sidewalk Poetry Project, bringing literature to the streets by stamping poems by residents into cement. The theme was  “Poetry of Place”… my poem:

Thousands of leaves
fluttering in trees
like little hands
waving at me.”
