Orly Perl (Art BFA 19), a recent graduate of the School of Art, passed away earlier this year. A message to the school’s faculty and staff read, in part:

“Orly was a beloved member of the community, cherished by her peers and deeply esteemed by faculty and staff in the Art School. During Orly’s time at CalArts many of us had the pleasure to work with her, to appreciate her work, thinking, curiosity and very personal take on life’s issues and challenges. It is as a shock that we received the news and we are truly devastated about Orly’s unexpected passing. Way too early, way too soon.”
