Steve Weir (Art MFA 78) reports, “For the past nine months, I have been working on my website, steveweir.com, adding both new and old photographs. My recent work has been digital, mostly taken with an iPhone. Not being able to get as much as we all would like to right now, I’ve been spending time reviewing my old analog work. I found many images from the ’70s made during my time at CalArts that I think still hold up. Looking at those images, it also has been fun to read through old CalArts documents and reach out to former classmates. My series, Family, Friends, and Strangers, includes photographs of CalArts people and places some of you might recognize. I still have more images from the ‘old days’ to review, scan, and publish.”
