Brian Bailey (Art MFA 79) writes, “I recently finished self-publishing a photobook about my years at CalArts. It is a limited edition set of three volumes titled Brian’s Tiny History of CalArtz, almost all have been spoken for. It was a project that took many decades of compiling and scanning/sorting through my images and several years of trying to identify and label the near 900 images that I ended up using. I came to the Institute in 1971 when the Valencia Campus was opened. After I graduated in 1975, I worked in the Film School until 1988. In the 1990s I was part of the early alumni organization; the images cover those years. It was worth the effort. I hope everyone who got a copy enjoys them.”
