Diana Arterian ’11 writes, “My first book of poems Playing Monster: Seiche was published by 1913 Press as the Editors’ Selection of their First Book Prize. It received a starred review in Publisher’s Weekly, and was a Small Press Distribution best seller. I recently reviewed Ariana Reines’s A Sand Book for The New York Times Book Review, and have taught creative writing classes through Catapult. I graduated with my Ph.D. in Literature and Creative Writing from the University of Southern California this spring, where my scholarship focused on trauma theory, contemporary poetics, and gender.”
